Christian has longstanding expertise in advising clients in domestic and cross-border transactions. He provided consultancy services to large corporate clients and companies from the “Mittelstand” operating in a variety of sectors as well as private equity investors.

In the context of M&A transactions Christian assists potential acquirers of business operations and parties contemplating divestments of businesses in analysing and outlining the business model including the strategic positioning. Christian has a broad domestic and foreign network facilitating the process selecting and contacting potential acquirers of a business or identifying target opportunities in Germany and abroad.

Supplementary to preparing documents commonly used in sell-side transactions and analysing information provided by vendors of a business to acquirers, Christian accompanies various stages of a due diligence and assumes the planning and steering of a transaction process until the signing.

As head of KPMG’s Transport & Logistics competence centre, Christian was responsible for the coordination of M&A activities in this sector across Europe and helped to continuously develop and maintain client relationships.

As Vice President of Group Corporate Development at Stinnes AG, Christian assisted numerous transactions and strategic projects in the segments services, trading and logistics. Amongst others, he was involved in the preparation and execution of the Stinnes IPO.

Prior to his role as Vice President, Christian worked in the investment controlling department at Stinnes AG and was responsible for coordinating and analysing annual budget and mid-term planning processes of selected segments. In this context Christian additionally performed competitor analyses.

Christian studied business administration at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. He prepared his doctoral thesis on dynamic warehousing concepts at Technische Universität Berlin.
